Matt McGuigan holds a BMus (classical guitar - performance) from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and an Associate Diploma from the Trinity College London. On the classical front Matt has performed at the Opera House in Brett Dean's opera Bliss, he is a member of the Sydney Electric Guitar Quartet and has premiered solo and ensemble works by several leading composers. He was the guitarist in Chris Bailey's band (The Saints) and is the main songwriter and singer in his own band The Vandemonians with Ollie McGill on keyboards (Cat Empire). Matt has been performing, recording and mixing music for over 10 years, and founded Hospital Hill in 2007. When not in the studio you can find him trying to spend all his money on French wine.
Jake Craig holds a MMus in Creative Sound Production from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. In addition to working as an audio engineer for Eastside FM, 2MBS and Sydney University Radio, he has been performing, recording music and working in sound design for over 10 years. Jake is the unabashed computer nerd of Hospital Hill, keeping himself occupied with the latest interactive audio technologies including FMOD, WWise, PD, and dabbling in Unreal Engine. You’ll find Jake, an expert in Logic Studio and Pro Tools, in the depths of his studio editing music into a fine sonic stew.

Hospital Hill Recordings is a freelance company and as such, the majority of our recordings are done on location at various high-quality venues. We have strong working relationships with some of the finest studio, concert hall and church settings in Sydney or can accommodate you at the venue of your choice. Please contact us if you would like to use the world-class Trackdown Scoring Stage facilities through our partnership with the prestigious production complex. Editing, mixing, mastering and other services such as overdubs and voiceovers are performed at our own studio in Surry Hills.
